Radium Barite (Czech)

£36.99Price
Quantity

A genuine Radium Barite (Radiobarite) mineral specimen displaying attractive honey-yellow to amber crystal formations across a contrasting grey mineral matrix. The specimen features numerous translucent to glassy crystals, with some areas showing larger well-formed crystal faces alongside finer sparkling drusy growth.

The combination of warm golden coloration, reflective crystal surfaces and the darker host matrix creates an especially striking appearance. Several sections show concentrated crystal clusters, giving the specimen excellent texture and visual depth when viewed under strong lighting or magnification.

Radium Barite is of particular interest to collectors due to its unusual geochemistry and naturally occurring radioactivity. This specimen shows measurable activity of approximately 300 CPM, while remaining primarily valued for its distinctive crystal development and mineralogical character.

The specimen measures approximately 50 × 50 × 18mm, making it a substantial display piece for collections focused on radioactive minerals, unusual barite varieties, geology and historic mineral specimens.
